Synopsis:
Carlos is reporting in that he has just found an incoming ship. It is coming straight to Asteroid City. Kicker wonders who the attacker could be. Hot Shot states it is probably Optimus’ mystery attacker. Optimus tells the Autobots that they are going to defend Asteroid City. Kicker has more flashbacks and Optimus asks what is wrong.
Deep in space, Alpha-Q is talking to Starscream. Alpha-Q talks to itself and then tells Scorponok that Starscream is on his way along with Optimus Prime and his party. He tells Scorponok to watch out for them and also Megatron.
In Unicron, the Terrorcons are bringing more energon to Megatron. He says that it is not enough and they must retrieve more. Demolisher says that there isn’t enough energon in Asteroid City because they have not found the mother load. He suggests to Megatron that they need to return to Lunar City. Scorponok reports in to Megatron with news that the Autobots are on their way to Lunar City. Megatron and the Decepticons launch to Lunar City while Scorponok is left behind for their ambush on Asteroid City. Back to Alpha-Q telling Scorponok that he is doing a good job. He now needs to keep Megatron from being damaged… for now.
Optimus goes super mode once they get to Asteroid City. The Autobots are searching for the Decepticons in the asteroids. Kicker is riding Ironhide and they are discussing about how Optimus is acting. They haven’t found anything yet and Optimus asks Kicker if he has found anything yet.
Megatron and the Decepticons attack Lunar City. The Omnicon’s are running from the Terrorcons while Strongarm and Skyblast keep the Terrorcons at bay.
Back at the asteroids, the Autobots have found an asteroid that reminds them of Unicron. Hot Shot starts blasting the asteroid and Kicker remembers something about Unicron. Hot Shot convinces the other Autobots to open fire as well.
Starscream finally arrives to Scorponok. They feel an attack happening. The Autobots stop firing and the asteroid moves! Starscream shows up and starts attacking Optimus. Optimus asks him if Megatron is behind this. Starscream doesn’t know any Megatron and tells Optimus that Alpha-Q is who he takes instructions from. The other Autobots are chasing the Autobots and Scorponok shows up. Hot Shot and Inferno powerlink. The asteroid shifts to warp speed in front of them. They watch it while Kicker has a flashback. Optimus asks Starscream if Megatron is involved. Starscream again tells Optimus that he does not know of this Megatron. He tells Optimus that it is Alpha-Q’s mission is to reawaken Unicron. While they are fighting, Alpha-Q tells him to retreat. Starscream does so while Optimus tells the coward to fight!
Commercial Break
Optimus sees something and Megatron and the Decepticons show up! They are waiting to see if Scorponok can back up his claim. Scorponok is fighting Powerlink Hot Shot and Ironhide. They figure out his shots are spiked with energon. Jetfire is down and they must retrieve him. Optimus finds Kicker but Kicker tells him to help Jetfire. The Autobots attack and force Scorponok to release Jetfire. Optimus wants to know from Scorponok whether he is working for Megatron or Alpha-Q. Kicker realizes who Alpha-Q is while the Decepticons show themselves! The Autobots are back talking Megatron and he cannot believe it! They see some energon deposits and tell Megatron not to fire. He fires anyways and almost takes out the Autobots. Ironhide and Jetfire combine and Optimus tells them to regroup. They take off as Megatron is laughing and the asteroid is exploding. Cyclonus asks him if they should regroup and they take off. The asteroid explodes and knocks Kicker back. He has a flashback and thinks he is alone yet all of the Autobots are surrounding him.
The Autobots arrive back on earth. They are waiting for Optimus to strategize against the Decepticons. We see Optimus reporting in to Primus about the threat a re-energized Unicron poses.
Outside, Mica and Kicker are talking. Mica wants to know what is wrong with Kicker because he isn’t acting like himself. Kicker explains what is going on with him and how he feels like such a failure. He doesn’t think he can do anything right but Mica tries to explain that he is worth something. She tells him that he must learn from him mistakes. They go on to discuss dinner. Suddenly the others return in large numbers of helicopters! Dr. Jones and Alexis hug as they arrive.
In the command center, Dr. Jones is explaining their new strategy. He tells them about his new idea, energon towers! They will link the four cities on the earth and form an impenetrable energon field. Mica explains to Kicker that with this new force field, together, they can win the battle!
Commentary:
Nice filler episode. Next episode, we should see the energon towers. I wonder how they will effect Megatron's ability to attack Earth?
