Grade
Synopsis:
The episode starts with Alpha-Q narrating that he is all that is left of Unicron. It switches between the various faces/voices of Alpha-Q. They need energon to awaken Unicron. It releases energy to awaken the Terrorcons because they must go to Earth to get the most powerful source of energon in the Universe.
Switch to Demolisher speaking of having to work with the Autobots and Humans. He says the Decepticons have no choice since Megatron disappeared. He does not like working with the humans and Autobots. Cybertron City rises from under the ocean and bridges connect. Kicker races out on a motorcycle and confronts Demolisher, then races away. Hot Shot shows up in hot pursuit and gripes to Demolisher because he is not working. Demolisher really hates working with the Autobots. Hot Shot takes off after Kicker to stop him. Hot Shot stops Kicker and asks him why he raised the city. Kicker is really angry with Hot Shot and takes off again. He stops and his hair changes color! He tells Hot Shot he wins.
Deep under water, the Omnicons are mining for energon. Strongarm finds a pocket of energon and tells Skyblast.
Out to Cybertron, Rad is explaining about the humans precense on Cybertron. Sally calls in and reports they found a huge deposit of energon. Rad tells Dr. Jones, Kicker's dad, and he becomes excited. They call to tell Optimus the news.
On the Mars asteroid energon base, Strongarm and Skyblast are telling Tidal Wave that they found energon on Earth. Suddenly they see something in space and a million laser shots hit them! Tidal Wave screams and starts defending. It is the Battle Ravage and Divebomb drones!
Back on Cybertron, we see Optimus teaching some Autobots how to fight. Ironhide is wrestling with Optimus and Optimus knocks him down. The other no name Autobots are watching. Optimus asks for anyone else and Ironhide says he is ready to go again. Optimus laughs and tells him he reminds him a lot of Hot Shot. Ironhide thinks it is the best compliment in the universe. Optimus hears an alarm and runs to the command center. Rad and Dr. Jones are there and inform Optimus of what is going on. Carlos reports in the Mars base is under attack by unknown life forms. Suddenly a blue light starts to speak under Optimus. It is the voice of Primus! Primus starts to speak of Energon being detected on Earth and not knowing of their new enemy. Before Optimus leaves, Dr. Jones gives him something.
Optimus collects a small unit of Autobots, Jetfire and Ironhide, and informs them they are on their way to Mars and then Earth, Ironhide runs up and wants to join the mission. Jetfire tells him it is not a game. Optimus tells Jetfire it is his decision and he lets Ironhide join. Rad opens a warp gate and the four Autobots launch to Mars. The warp gate is different then the one in Armada. They arrive at Mars and the city is destroyed! All of the Autobots are gone. They launch again to Earth.
Commercial break
Back to Ocean City. Sally and her mother along with Kicker are watching Stromgarm and Skyblast work on the energon. Kicker does not care about the energon and walks out of the room. In the hall way he comments that humans do not need to rely on Transformers. Cut to a flashback. After Armada, Rad, Carlos, and Alexis are shown landing on Cybertron again. Dr. Jones and Kicker come with them to meet the Transformers. Kicker is scared. Back to the present, Kicker does not want to rely on anyone. Kicker's hair then turns gold.
Carlos is reporting to Hot Shot about their base on Mars being destroyed. He says it was from some sort of asteroids and that a large amount of energon was taken. Kicker runs in and tells Hot Shot that they are under attack and need to submerge the city. He runs out of the city again past Demolisher. Hot Shot is in pursuit and knocks down Demolisher. They race out of the city.
Back to a flashback of Kicker. Kicker is young and hiding from Optimus. Optimus is angry and trying to find Kicker. Kicker if hiding in an off limit area. He tells Optimus to go away because he hates bots. Optimus finds Kicker and he falls into a giant pit. Some blue things catch him and he meets Primus. Primus tells him that he is the one that discovered him. Optimus finds him while Primus enhances Kicker's natural ability to perceive things.
Kicker and Hot Shot stop and Kicker tells him up their in the sky. Hot Shot fires and suddenly Divebombs start flying down. Now there are hundreds! Kicker tells Hot Shot they are after their energon. They fire on Hot Shot and Kicker but do not hit them. Now Battle Ravage clones join the fight and Demolisher starts firing. One grabs him by the head and sparks fly! Kicker is surrounded by clones! A hundred laser blasts fly down and destroy the clones around Kicker. It is Optimus and the bunch! Optimus lands by Kicker and asks if he remembers him. Cut to Strongarm and Skyblast refining the energon. They ask about the fight, but mention they are not warrior bots. Sally and her mom are hiding. Back to the fight. The Autobots are fighting. Kicker runs off and Optimus tell Ironhide to go get him. Optimus then tells Prime force to transform! We see the four bots take off and start to fight the Terrorcons. Optimus tells Hot Shot it is time to use the spark of combination that Primus gave him. He then combines with Inferno to form Powerlinx Hot Shot. They beat the snot out of the Terrorcons. Optimus combines with Prime Force and turns into Optimus Prime Super Mode! The prime force consists of Fire 1, Copter 2, Submarine 3, and Digger 4. Prime lauches Energon Blast and destroys most of the remaining Terrorcons except those chasing Kicker and Ironhide. Kicker then jumps on Ironhide and starts blasting the Terrorcons. Kicker gets knocked off and Optimus throws the thing Dr. Jones gave him to Kicker. It becomes a suit and forms around Kicker! Kicker hits the ground and is not injured. Kicker is really mad about the Transformers. He wants to fight the Terrorcons without the Autobots help. Optimus laughs and tells him that if he wants to battle along side the Autobots he must wear the suit that his father gave him.
Back to Alpha-Q narrating the end. He says that they did not get the Energon this time, but there are plenty of other cities to attack. Where will they attack next?
Commentary:
Awesome show! The is the best intro into a Transformers series since G1. Having so many bots, including no name ones, is great. The intro music is perfect for this series. There could have been a little better intro into the series. Where did they get their new forms? Maybe from defeating Unicron. Who knows at this point. This will definitely be a great series. The animation is top notch and there were no noticeable mistakes.
