Transformers Beast Machines - Season 1
Cheetor and Blackarachnia transform back into beast mode. Optimus jumps in front to protect the, absorbing the blasts from the drill vehicle. He explains to Blackarachnia and Cheetor that they both lost their emotional centers, causing them to revert back to beast mode just as he lets loose with a blast of power that destroys the drill.
Optimus knows it's time to move on, but Cheetor wants to explore Cybertropolis, the central city of Cybertron. Optimus protests and insists that the Maximals split up into teams to find a new training base. Rattrap goes with Optimus and Cheetor and Blackarachnia head off in another direction.
As the two Maximals explore the caves of Cybertron, Cheetor and Blackarachnia decide to see what Cybertropolis has to offer. Both head to the surface and find that the city has been completely abandoned. Where there should be ten million Transformers, there is nothing but an abandoned city. Cheetor and Blackarachnia attempt to check the Cybertronian database: the Infocore. They find that the database has been wiped out, but before they can analyze the situation further, a group of Jetstorm drone Vehicons strafe the two, sending them flying over a ledge, hurtling to the ground below!
The two manage to slide down a building and land safely. Cheetor tries to transform, but there's no time as he and Blackarachnia continue to run. Blackarachnia manages to trap two of the drones in a web as Optimus and Rattrap show up. Optimus takes to the air to dispatch several jets as they transform and attack. Blackarachnia and Cheetor manage to transform and attack. Blackarachnia fries a Vehicon as Cheetor uses his blades and super speed to cut several up. The battle ends with the Maximals as the victors. Optimus is upset, but Cheetor and Blackarachnia report their findings. Optimus decides that the Council Citidel will hold the answers to the mystery of Cybertron's current state.
As the Maximals approach the citidel, Rattrap charges on ahead, only to face a group of Tankorr drones. Optimus tells Cheetor and Blackarachnia to hold the tanks of f while he charges into the building. He manages to swivel the turret of one and jump on another, causing one of the drones to destroy a fellow tank. Optimus makes it into the citidel only to be confronted by a group of Thrust drones. They charge at him but he plows through them, finally jumping through a door just as it closes.
Optimus is greeted by a dark room with panels for a bridge floating about. The panels come together to form a bridge, leading to a familiar voice. It's Megatron! The Vehicon leader is slowly lowered from the ceiling by his group of wires, all leading to an unseen source. Optimus recognizes his old nemesis. Megatron claims that Optimus lost the Beast Wars, and that his Vehicons are hunting down the other Maximals.
Outside, the Maximals are leading the Tankorr drones away from the citidel, and up the side of a building. Megatron explains that he controls all the Vehicons, and that none of them have sparks. He explains that Optimus and the Maximals are nothing but impure Transformers that need to be purged to make Cybertron perfect. Optimus points out that Megatron himself was part organic during the Beast Wars, but Megatron answers by saying he has purged the beast within himself like a virus.
Elsewhere, Cheetor manages to evade a Tankorr drone unit. This enrages Megatron. Optimus taunts him as Blackarachnia takes out another Tankorr drone unit. Optimus points out that Megatron is only one mind, trying to focus on four chaotic individual minds. Megatron's wires disconnect, and suddenly he falls from his cloaked form and is revealed as his dragon mode, last seen during the end of the Beast Wars. However, he is being reconstructed as several pieces appear miscolored or torn off of him. This causes the drones to stop and the Maximals race back to the citidel to rescue Optimus Primal.
Inside, Megatron and Optimus continue to struggle as Megatron regains control and reattaches himself to the wires. He blames Optimus Primal for the deaths of billions of Transformers. Optimus becomes enraged and transforms back to beast mode, just as Megatron unleashes dozens of Thrust drones into the room!

The Maximals are gathered underground, learning from Optimus Primal the secret of transformation. He tells each of them to find their emotional center, and then transform. Blackarachnia and Cheetor follow him, each transforming into their new robot modes. Rattrap struggles however, and Optimus tells him to just let it happen, and not to fight so hard. Suddenly, a rumbling shakes the room and a drilling vehicle crashes through the walls!Cheetor and Blackarachnia transform back into beast mode.
